CRA Consultant Bernat Cirera Roca beat strong competition to secure third place at the Nuclear Institute (NI) Young Generation Network (YGN) London and South East Branch speaking competition on Thursday 08 June 2017.
Bernat’s confidently delivered talk, entitled ‘Presenting Equivalent Doses to Society’, was both informative and entertaining. He answered some tricky questions from the judges to walk away with a £100 cash prize.
Speaking of his award, Bernat said; “I wasn’t expecting the award, I did my talk to generate some debate. I was more than pleased when after my speech, the audience started one (a debate). I am very thankful to CRA for supporting me and to my colleagues who encouraged me to enter the competition. Also, a special thanks to my colleagues who came with me to the Speaking Competition.”
Bernat joined the CRA team as a Graduate Consultant in January 2017 having completed a Double European Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, specialising in Nuclear Plant Design, at UPC in Barcelona and at ENSTA in Paris. Additionally, Bernat completed a six-month internship with EDF as a PSA engineer at CNEN Paris, France.
