The environment is a topic which is never far from the press; whether it is the state of our oceans, recyclability or the amount of emissions released into the atmosphere.
More recently the nuclear industry has begun to highlight the environmental benefits of nuclear power in comparison to fossil fuels and other fuel sources. However, this messaging is sometimes met with scepticism, or it is dismissed. We need to make sure nuclear has a place at the clean energy table.
As we move to a more autonomous world how will we ensure that the electricity used to power this world comes from a low carbon source? Are small modular reactors / advanced modular reactors really lower risk and the best option for future electricity production? What is the safety case for our planet?
