CRA consultant, Georgia Pawson, has been elected as a Vice Chair of the Nuclear Institute’s Young Generation Network (YGN).
Georgia began volunteering with YGN in 2016, when she undertook the role of Exhibition Lead for European Nuclear Young Generation Forum (ENYGF) 2017 and the YGN Annual Seminar and Dinner in 2017. From 2017 – 2019 she held the role of Membership Retention and Development. In January 2020 she commenced her Vice Chair role.
Speaking about her appointment, Georgia said; “I am excited to be a Vice Chair of the YGN. The nuclear industry is at a pivotal point with decommissioning, new build and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) all vying for investment. My goals for the YGN are to increase diversity and inclusion, as well as look at our environmental footprint as we make the network stronger.”
Georgia has over four years’ nuclear industry experience. As a Safety Case consultant, her current work is focused on supporting operating stations. She also has experience supporting decommissioning projects.
Alongside her work and volunteering, Georgia is currently studying for an Executive MBA part-time.
