CRA is proud to be sponsoring the Nuclear Institute (NI) London and South East (LSE) Young Generation Network (YGN) Speaking Competition.
CRA, which was recently acquired by Assystem, is one of the largest integrated teams of Risk, Safety, Operations and Human Factors consultancies in the UK. With an established track record in the UK and International nuclear markets, CRA is a keen supporter and advocate for the development of the next generation of nuclear professionals.
The annual speaking competition provides members of the nuclear sector, aged 37 and under, with a unique and invaluable opportunity to exercise their speaking and presentation skills in front of an audience, as well as respond to questions from them.
This year the competition is running in a webinar format. The presenters can give a 10-minute talk on any nuclear topic and have a chance to win a first prize of £300. The winner of the London and South East regional competition will advance to the national speaking competition grand final.
Hugh Stephenson, NI LSE Branch Chair and CRA Operations Manager said:
“Following on from the great success of the event in recent years, CRA is delighted to again be sponsoring the London and South East YGN Speaking Competition on 30 July 2020. The competition always provides a fantastic platform for young professionals to practise their public speaking and presentation skills to an audience of like-minded people. The technical content is varied, interesting and stimulates some great questions from the audience.
Whilst the web based format this year means that, unfortunately, the face-to-face networking elements are minimised, it does offer a range of advantages including practising new webinar presenting skills, environmental benefits and opens the competition up to speakers and audience from outside of the south east region. We look forward to welcoming you to the 2020 virtual competition!”
