The European Nuclear Young Generation Forum (ENYGF) held in Manchester, U.K. in June 2017 was proudly sponsored by CRA. It was inspirational to be a funder of the event and to actively participate in the forum and exhibition.
The week-long forum consisted of technical/industry presentations, workshops, technical and cultural tours, poster presentations and an industry exhibition.
The event brought together students and young professionals from across the European and Global nuclear energy industry. The biennial event provided over 400 delegates with an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge between the 27+ countries that were represented.
As a proud sponsor of the event, CRA provided notebooks and pens which were well received by all.
CRA was represented throughout the week by young professionals from across the business who all found the experience highly enjoyable and informative.
CRA consultant Sophie Bold who attended the conference and was interviewed for the ENYGF video stated: “It was fantastic to network with nuclear professionals from other parts of the world. I’ve learnt a lot about how they’re addressing the industry’s challenges elsewhere and developed contacts to enable more cross-border collaboration in the future. It’s paramount that this kind of networking is supported to enable the industry to overcome its hurdles and progress, successfully, into the future.”
Additionally, CRA displayed a stand at the exhibition. This was extremely busy and it was great to engage with so many interested young minds. We also held a lottery draw with the lucky winner receiving a vintage bottle of champagne.
The farewell dinner on the final evening was the perfect end to the forum; it was an exciting event with fantastic entertainment and very enthusiastic dancing by all.
