This year will be the 10th CRA Risk and Safety Forum and this year’s theme is People, Plant and the Planet.
Topical conversations in the nuclear industry and other Critical National Infrastructure sectors are around our workforce (people), ageing and new plant (plant), as well as the benefits for the planet (planet). This is reinforced by the Nuclear Sector Deal and the Construction Sector Deal, both of which were released last year by UK Government.
Throughout March, we will be exploring each element of The Forum’s theme in more detail.
As a profession, we write and prove safety cases to protect people, where they work and live and the planet we live on. The models and analyses we undertake helps predict and prioritise the risks that make our world a safer place.
At this year’s Forum, we will explore the numbers, models and plans that our Critical National Infrastructure will need to address over the next 10 years. Via this discussion and knowledge sharing, we will understand our role in assuring protection of people, plant and planet during the next decade.
