CRA’s ‘GDPR – A  Practitioner’s View’ event  on 14th of March 2018 raised many interesting questions from the audience wanting to find how their particular circumstance would be affected by the new regulation.

Jeremy Holt made it rewarding to ask questions by giving copies of his  book , ‘A manager’s guide to IT law’, to the two most interesting questions. John MacKnight from CRA explained  CRA’s facilitated assessment as a starting point in approaching GDPR compliance,  which can overcome the situation faced by many  of ‘not knowing what we don’t know’.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be enforced from 25 May 2018. This is the most significant change in data privacy regulation in 20 years. GDPR will impact businesses and non-compliant organisations which may face heavy financial penalties.

CRA has launched a GDPR accelerator© to support organisations with the implementation of GDPR.
